NGC 2683 - NGC 2683 is probably a barred spiral galaxy approximately 20 million light-years away in the constellation Lynx. Because it is edge-on from our perspective here on Earth, only recently have astronomers found that it may have a stellar bar. They estimate that NGC 2683 has more than 300 globular clusters. (6-inch Astro-Tech AT6RC Ritchey-Chrétien reflector at f/9, SBIG ST-8300M CCD camera, eighteen 10-minute luminance exposures stacked with six 10-minute exposures through R, G, and B filters)
